Lottie is a very sweet 4 year old southern mystery mutt. She is about 50 pounds, house trained and loves car rides, walks and treats. Lottie spends a lot of her day snoozing but she is also always ready to go on an adventure whenever you are. She is good with other dogs with proper introductions and may benefit from having another dog buddy in her new home as she is working on being more confident. Like many rescue dogs, Lottie is also working on some separation anxiety so getting adopted into a home where her people are there more than not would be her preference and the required training (when adopting) should include more work in this area. Lottie seems to be cat friendly and does not pay attention to the cats in her current foster home no matter how much they try to get her attention. She also doesn't seem to pay any attention to the goats and chickens on the other side of the fence either but she does love chasing chipmunks. If you are interested in this dog please fill out an online application on our website:                               http://barkdogfarm.rescuegroups.org

Before applying be sure you have thoroughly researched the breed you are applying for.    Please be sure all family members are in agreement to adopting and your family is ready to bring dog home now. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. A volunteer will be in touch to discuss your application and the dog to determine if it is a good match. Your vet and two references will be called.  A virtual home visit done. Once approved a meet and greet at the farm will take place.  If all are in agreement and the animal has received its NH health certificate an adoption contract will be signed and adoption fee paid.  Adoption fees for dogs are $450. for adults over 12 months, $500 for puppies 12 months and younger.  Fees for seniors, special needs or harder to place dogs will be determined by our Board of Directors. All dogs will be altered when adoption is finalized, up to date on age appropriate core vaccines, negative for parasites, heart worm and lyme tested if 6 months or older, microchipped and have a current health certificate.  Proof of a basic obedience course completed is part of our adoption contract within six months. Our descriptions are based on shelter evaluations, input from foster homes and interactions with our volunteers but are in no way a guarantee of temperment. Please know we practice Covid-19 guidelines for mask wearing and social distancing.  Only approved applicants are allowed to meet our dogs outdoors. Please email barkingdogfrm@gmail.com with any questions.
