Please meet Blanco. Blanco is a 10 month old great pyrenees mix. Blanco is a sweet, gentle boy. He wants nothing more than to be loved. Blanco was surrender by a young couple that had saved him from an abusive home where they were burning him with lit cigarettes. The couple just had a baby and knew it was in Blanco's best interest to turn him over to rescue. Despite his unfortunate beginnings Blanco does not have a mean bone in his body. He is good with other dogs and has had exposure to cats and various farm animals. Children are unknown although he has had exposure to a newborn. Because of his abusive past we will not place him with small children only older, respectful children.

Blanco loves to be outside running around therefore a home with a fenced yard would be ideal.

Blanco has gorgeous black lined eyes. He is great at making eye contact and wants to please his person.

Before applying be sure you have thoroughly researched Great Pyrenees.  They can be stubborn, prone to barking, overly protective and cannot be off leash.  You WILL NOT train a pyr to boundaries. 

Please be sure all family members are in agreement to adopting and your family is ready to bring dog home now.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old.

A volunteer will be in touch to discuss your application and the dog to determine if it is a good match. Your vet and two references will be called.  A virtual home visit done. Once approved a meet and greet at the farm will take place.  If all are in agreement and the animal has received its NH health certificate an adoption contract will be signed and adoption fee paid.  Adoption fees for dogs are $450. for adults over 12 months, $500 for puppies 12 months and younger.  Fees for seniors, special needs or harder to place dogs will be determined by our Board of Directors. All dogs will be altered when adoption is finalized, up to date on age appropriate core vaccines, negative for parasites, heart worm and lyme tested if 6 months or older, microchipped and have a current health certificate.  Proof of a basic obedience course completed is part of our adoption contract within six months.
