***Elsa has a fully sponsored adoption fee to help her find her furever home***Meet Elsa!  This sweet girl comes to us from KY.  Her foster mom claims she is the happiest dog ever! Elsa is a two year old great pyrenees possibly shepherd mix. Elsa is a friendly gal who meets people and other dogs easily. She is curious, confident and affectionate. Elsa loves to be petted especially chin and ears rubs. She would be quite happy to snuggle with you on the couch. She is such a love bug! She will let you trim her nails without any trouble, she loves to be brushed. Her favorite toy is her tail, which is convenient since its attached! She is house trained. She loves to go for walks. Elsa has lived with other dogs. A secure fenced yard is a must.

Before applying be sure you have thoroughly researched Great Pyrenees.  They can be stubborn, prone to barking, overly protective and cannot be off leash.  You WILL NOT train a pyr to boundaries. 

Please be sure all family members are in agreement to adopting and your family is ready to bring dog home now.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old.

A volunteer will be in touch to discuss your application and the dog to determine if it is a good match. Your vet and two references will be called.  A virtual home visit done. Once approved a meet and greet at the farm will take place.  If all are in agreement and the animal has received its NH health certificate an adoption contract will be signed and adoption fee paid.  Adoption fees for dogs are $450. for adults over 12 months, $550 for puppies 12 months and younger.  Fees for seniors, special needs or harder to place dogs will be determined by our Board of Directors. All dogs will be altered when adoption is finalized, up to date on age appropriate core vaccines, negative for parasites, heart worm and lyme tested if 6 months or older, microchipped and have a current health certificate.  Proof of a basic obedience course completed is part of our adoption contract within six months.

Our descriptions are based on shelter evaluations, input from foster homes and interactions with our volunteers but are in no way a guarantee of temperment.

Please know we practice Covid-19 guidelines for mask wearing and social distancing.  Only approved applicants are allowed to meet our dogs outdoors.
